Charity program “Save a good person”

The goal of the program is to provide prompt, effective, targeted, and transparent financial assistance for the treatment and rehabilitation of low-income residents of the Mykolaiv region and to ensure an effective mechanism for collecting and distributing charitable donations to save people's lives and health.

The funds raised are managed by the Supervisory Board of the “Save a Good Person” program, which includes doctors, pharmacists, and community leaders:

Kharchenko Grigory, 16 years old, severe head injury as a result of a car accident (Voznesensk)

On September 1, 2012, after a festive line at school, Grisha was hit by a car at a pedestrian crossing. As a result of the accident, the boy received severe telex injuries: a contusion of the brain, damage to the frontal bone, paralysis of the left side of the body, impaired vision, and a contusion of the soft tissues of the face. For a month, the boy was in a coma, he underwent brain surgery and the frontal bone was replaced with a prosthesis.

Funds raised by the Foundation – UAH 29,951.27.

Nagornykh Yura, 4 years old, poor blood clotting, hepatitis B (Yuzhnoukrainsk city)

Yurchik is 4 years old, the child has been sick since birth because he was injured at birth - a brain hemorrhage on the background of which developed hydrocephalus (water on the brain). At 1.5 months old, he had surgery and a shunt was placed. The surgery stopped the development of the disease but did not cure it. The boy does not walk, sits poorly, says only the words: mom, give me, am. In September last year, the boy began to have seizures with fainting. And in October, Yurchik was found to have the hepatitis B virus in a state of replication, in the process the virus began to destroy platelets in the blood (thrombocytopenia).

Chubchik Dima, 7 years old, brain glioblastoma, stage 4 cancer (Voznesensk)

The boy had a stroke. Then Dima was taken to the hospital with elevated acetone, but one day he got worse – he was sent for a CT scan, where they said he had a tumor…. His parents took him to Kyiv to the Institute of Neurosurgery – they said they needed to have an operation urgently, our doctors wouldn’t be able to remove the entire tumor, they only had hope in clinics abroad. A doctor was found in Turkey who gave the go-ahead for an expensive operation to remove the tumor in the brain.

Pustovy Elisey, 10 years old, cerebral palsy (Voznesensk)

Elisey is a twin, born second, suffered during childbirth, and had asphyxia. When the boy was 6 months old, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, and since then his mother has been rehabilitating Elisey. To recover, the boy underwent treatment in many medical centers in Kyiv, Moscow, Odessa, Donetsk, and Yevpatoria, but the most positive dynamics of the boy’s correction is observed in the “International Rehabilitation Clinic” in Truskavets.
To recover and live a full life, Elisey needs to undergo rehabilitation in the clinic 4 times a year, and the amount of treatment, unfortunately, is not small. The mother is treating her son alone. Therefore, given the need for help, family circumstances, and the availability of reserve funds, the Supervisory Board made a decision to help Pustov Elisey. UAH 4,000 was provided to pay for a trip to the “International Rehabilitation Clinic” in Truskavets.

Nikolaeva Iryna, 12 years old, cerebral palsy (Voznesensk)

At the age of two, her parents were diagnosed with cerebral palsy (CP). Ira cannot move independently and therefore practically does not leave her house. Despite the serious diagnosis, Irynka is not lagging behind in mental development.
There is hope that Irynka will be able to walk independently after a special operation on the tendons and a rehabilitation course.

Karpenko Vladik 4 years old, blood cancer or acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Voznesensk)

Vladyka Karpenko, a little ascetic who will soon be only 4 years old, was unexpectedly diagnosed by doctors with a terrible diagnosis:blood cancer or acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Back in September, the boy had routine tests at kindergarten, and nothing bad was found. However, at the end of October, his mother began to notice the child's lethargy, poor appetite, and unhealthy complexion. When they arrived for an examination at the Mykolaiv Regional Hospital, the doctors sent the test to the children's Okhmatdyt in Kyiv - and on December 11, the terrible diagnosis was confirmed! The child needs urgent, long-term and expensive treatment. 

Proshak Yuriy, 16 years old, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (Voznesensk)

Proshak Yuriy (16 years old), a student of the 10-P class of the Voznesensky Lyceum "Insight". The guy has been persistently fighting an insidious disease for the ninth year - juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. This is a chronic disease accompanied by swelling and pain in the joints. The causes of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis are unknown. It is considered an autoimmune disease in which the human immune system attacks its own body as a result of a malfunction. Through the joint efforts of the community and caring Voznesenskyi, funds in the amount of UAH 5,757, thanks to which Yura was able to undergo an examination in Lviv, the only laboratory in Ukraine where special analysis is taken, and received consultations in Mykolaiv, where the guy was prescribed treatment that is more accurate and effective.
