The goal of the competition is to support initiatives aimed at organizing meaningful and interesting leisure activities and solving local problems with the active involvement of community residents.
The priorities of the competition are:
– popularization of family leisure and formation of intergenerational relationships;
– support and promotion of local product producers and craftsmen;
– development of informal education and civic activism.
What ideas can be supported??
Cultural and artistic events: festivals, flash mobs, photo shoots, concerts, film screenings, performances, photo exhibitions, themed holidays, puppet shows, street and yard festivals...
Sporting events: competitions, sports games, bike races, marathons….
Events to promote producers of local products and folk crafts: fairs, exhibitions, presentations, shows, video reviews, tastings, master classes on making…
Environmental activities: subbotniks, campaigns to promote separate waste collection, companies aimed at protecting the environment...
Measures to develop public spaces (transform) publicly accessible public areas into attractive areas and welcoming places, their landscaping, development of parks, squares, playgrounds, creation of creative spaces based on schools, libraries and cultural institutions (photo zones, coworking spaces, hubs, children's rooms, areas with upholstered furniture, playgrounds...).
Non-formal education events: seminars, trainings, lectures, master classes, discussions, workshops, conferences, coffee with the police...
Street art is the creation of murals, photo exhibitions, thematic paintings, creative elements of street improvement on gray walls and fences…
Tourist activities: excursions, hikes, film screenings, themed quests...
Inclusive solutions: creating conditions for the integration of people with disabilities into community life.
Other solutions are aimed at meeting community needs.
Who can submit projects to participate in the competition:
– cultural and educational institutions: libraries, schools, children's art centers, cultural centers, museums..
– public and charitable organizations, bodies of self-organization of the population;
– active community residents and initiative groups.
The competition is held in the territory of rural settlements of Mykolaiv region and the cities of Voznesensk and Yuzhnoukrainsk.
Financing amount:
Lot 1 – a project in which at least 30 people participate – the maximum grant amount is 3,000 UAH.
Lot 2 – a project involving at least 100 people – the maximum grant amount is 10,000 UAH.
The deadline for submitting applications is April 1, 2019.
The deadline for project implementation is May 1, 2019.
Application procedure
To participate in the competition, it is necessary to prepare and submit a project for a grant using the application form. The Foundation's employees advise applicants and provide general information on writing projects. Phone number for inquiries: 0669127331.

Applications in electronic form are accepted until 17:00 on February 10 to the email address voz-cf@ukr.net with the subject line “Application for the Act Locally grant competition”.
The winners of the competition will be determined by an independent public competition commission, and the winners will be announced on February 15, 2019.
The grant competition is held by the Voznesensk Community Foundation based on the results of the competition of projects "School of Community Foundations" within the framework of financing the Grant Agreement between the C.S. MOTTA Foundation and ISAR "Unity".
